LWF advocacy for the protection of human rights

46th Session of the Human Rights Council - Action for Justice will lead LWF’s advocacy work and present statements on behalf of member churches and country programs

LWF will engage in advocacy at the Human Rights Council, with specific focus on human rights situations in countries and regions where LWF is present through member churches and LWF World Service country programs. The main aim is to bring the voice of the people we serve in the communities to the global level. LWF World Service is running projects on rights-based approaches in several countries. LWF member churches also engage in human rights work. Findings and reports from these projects will be shared with the Human Rights Council and presented to international partners, to elicit policy changes which benefit the people we serve.
