Under this theme, you will find training materials and resources surrounding the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how they link to the work of churches and other faith actors. You will learn more about what the SDGs are and why they are important for churches. You will be able to deepen your existing knowledge of the SDGs through theological reflections on selected SDGs and by getting to know selected SDGs in more depth. The training resources under this theme will also help you to find ways of strengthening your church’s engagement with the SDGs, and will provide you with hand-on tools to do so.

Under this theme, you will find training materials and resources surrounding Diakonia. You will learn more about what Diakonia is, its theological rooting and practical expression, and why it is inseparably connected to the mission of the church. You will find out how diakonia is linked to the concept of conviviality and explore different practical resources and tools that help your church to become a ‘convivial church’. You will also find inspiration and practical guidance on how your church can collaborate with other diaconal actors, including the LWF’s humanitarian and development arm World Service.

Under this theme, you will find training materials and resources surrounding Theology. You will learn more about diverse areas of theology including theology in the public space, Lutheran theological perspectives, ecumenical and interfaith contexts around the communion. These modules and resources are aimed for member churches, theological schools, parishes or individuals who want to deepen their knowledge and faith.
