16 Days 2021 campaign - Online Media Kit
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence begin each year on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and end on 10 December, International Human Rights Day.
'Awareness, Action, Accountability; focus on femicide' is the global theme for this year, which marks the 30th anniversary of the 16 Days campaign. LWF has a long history of participation in the campaign and this year, we will use the 16 Days to showcase our own action commitments to end gender-based violence.
Working with member churches and country programs, we are stepping up our advocacy towards ending sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in the lead up to 2030, the target year for the achievement of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
We invite you to read and share our stories and resources, which you will find here:
- Raise global awareness on the need to end gender-based violence
- Feature critical commitments from the LWF’s work to end gender-based violence
- Inspire LWF member churches and country programs to conduct advocacy during the 16 days
- Share resources and publicity materials on SGBV prevention and response
