The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) has opened media accreditation for the Thirteenth Assembly. Journalists working for church and secular media outlets are invited to report from the Lutheran gathering in Krakow, Poland, from 13-19th September 2023.

The assembly is the highest LWF governing body and meets every six to seven years. Under the theme “One Body, One Spirit, One Hope”, more than 350 delegates from 149 LWF member churches will discuss what it means to be Lutheran, and the challenges and opportunities for their churches in their respective context. Also present will be representatives of associate members, ecumenical guests, official presenters, advisors, ex officio participants, volunteers and staff.

Media can attend in person or online. Key sessions of the assembly will be streamed online, material will be made available in an online press room, and press briefings will take place online and in-person. Journalists who wish to attend are asked to fill in the accreditation form on the Assembly Website.

Accredited media who will join in-person must pay the Assembly registration fee of 120 EUR. If they wish to participate in meals at the venue, a daily fee of 40 EUR applies. LWF communications will respond to every accreditation request within a week.

Deadline for those who wish to attend in person is 10 June 2023.
