WITTENBERG, Germany/GENEVA, 27 February 2015 (LWI) – At its first meeting, 22 - 25 February in Wittenberg, Germany, the LWF working group on the “Women on the Move” process started mapping out women’s journey in commemorating the 2017 Reformation anniversary.

The meeting’s outcome will be shared on the Women on the Move - From Wittenberg to Windhoek (WMWW) platform on the LWF web site. It includes links to ‘Her-stories’ from the different LWF regions, starting with the story of Dutch theologian Rev. Jantine Auguste Haumersen, considered to be among the first ordained women in the Lutheran church. Additional input will include reflections from women leaders and theologians on some of the opportunities and challenges relating to the global movement of celebrating 500 years of the Reformation.
