Walid Nammour steps down as CEO of Augusta Victoria Hospital

LWF grateful for service and commitment

(LWI) - Walid Nammour has stepped down as the Chief Executive Officer of the LWF Augusta Victoria Hospital in East Jerusalem as of 7 December. Dr. Fadi Atrash will continue as acting CEO of the hospital.

“The AVH provides life-saving services for the people of Palestine,” said LWF General Secretary Rev. Anne Burghardt. “That mission will now continue under the leadership of the acting CEO Dr. Fadi Atrash and his team. The LWF and Mr. Nammour part ways on amicable terms. LWF thanks Mr. Nammour for his service and commitment to the AVH and wishes him the best in his future endeavors. LWF also wishes to thank the staff of the AVH for their continued service to the mission of the hospital.”

The Augusta Victoria Hospital is a center of medical excellence in East Jerusalem, serving all 5 million Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. It offers specialized care not available in other hospitals in the West Bank and Gaza, including radiation therapy for cancer patients and pediatric hemodialysis. Augusta Victoria Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission International for its outstanding quality.
