It has been nine months since a magnitude 7.8 earthquake shook Nepal and destroyed more than 700,000 buildings. One of the communities affected is Sanogoan. The village is situated only 20 minutes from Kathmandu but despite the total destruction which had taken place, was overlooked by relief efforts until LWF and the ACT Nepal Forum began to distribute relief goods.
With cash grants for re-building and livelihood support, LWF is helping the people of Sanogoan to rebuild their houses, brick by brick.

Laxmi Shrestha and her daughter, Sujata, have been living in this tent since the earthquake. Many people now even make space in their tents for the bricks, so the bricks can dry properly.
