The LWF Communion – With Passion for the Church and for the World
The LWF Strategy, adopted by the LWF Council in 2011, is the result of broad participation and input by member churches and related organizations.
The global strategy lays the basis for LWF engagements and work in 2012-2017. It presents a vision of the LWF as a communion liberated by God’s grace, living and working together for a just, peaceful and reconciled world.
The full-color brochure details goals and commitments in three programmatic priority areas:
- theology, ecumenical dialogue and interfaith collaboration
- mutual accompaniment in holistic mission
- diakonia
It also names theological reflection and formation; advocacy and public witness; gender justice; and youth participation as cross-cutting priorities, and effective communication and financial sustainability as organizational focuses.
