The LWF strives tirelessly to develop new ways of achieving financial sustainability in an increasingly competitive world.
The Office for Finance and Administration (OFA) enables all LWF units at the Geneva Secretariat to fulfil their mandates in a competent and cost-saving manner.
OFA's main functions are to
- administer the funds and fixed assets of the LWF in accordance with high professional standards and practices of Christian stewardship
- administer and manage the LWF Pension Fund and the LWF Endowment Fund
- nurture close relationships with the member churches and other funding partners to ensure adequate funding for the work of the LWF
- maintain and develop the LWF IT environment and provide sufficient tools for productive work

LWF Finances in 2008
In 2008, the LWF secretariat spent USD 101.3 million of which USD 13.7 million was used for coordination. USD 87.6 million was distributed to LWF projects and programs.
The consolidated financial statements for the calendar year 2008 were audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers SA in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Click here for the 2008 auditor's report. ![]()
