Office for Communication Services
The Office for Communication Services (OCS) aims to enhance the LWF’s visibility and identity through information dissemination, production of publications, promotion and audio visual materials, and interpretation and translation services.
News
OCS provides news and information to the media, LWF member churches, other churches and ecumenical bodies, and the general public. The English and German versions of Lutheran World Information (LWI) have served as the LWF’s main news source for more than fifty years.
Publications
OCS maintains publishing services, coordinates LWF publications and serves all LWF units in the preparation, production and distribution of publications.
OCS itself produces monthly issues of Lutheran World Information (LWI) in English and in German, and the LWF Documentation Series, also in English and in German, which includes documentation on LWF Council meetings.
Other Services
OCS produces the LWF Directory in electronic file and Web formats.
The office serves the secretariat departments and units in the promotion of programs and projects to the member churches, related agencies and other partners, and provides media resources to interpret and support their work.
Aware of the challenges posed by global electronic communication, the LWF Web site, maintained by OCS, provides swift access to information on the Federation and its work areas.
