LWF Liberia Program Coordinator
Nils Bernhold - Oversees ongoing development and humanitarian projects. Contributes to the current LWF Liberia reorientation phase, a shift from responding to humanitarian needs in a civil war context to empowering communities and making them aware of their rights in a post-conflict situation. Integrates feedback on ways to improve working methods in current activities and develops new projects in line with LWF Liberia’s new focus. Based in Monrovia, Liberia.
Program Officer for Rights-Based Approach and Peace Building
Eva Palmqvist - Supervises, supports and builds capacity in the areas of peace
building and rights-based approach (RBA) to development for the different
projects of the LWF Sudan program. Engages in planning and
reporting as an LWF Sudan team member. Networks
and dialogues with other NGOs, UN agencies and government offices
on RBA and peace building. Acts as a resource person for
other programs in the region and the LWF globally. Based in
Torit, Southern Sudan.
Somali Refugee Programme Coordinator
Sofia Malmqvist - Oversees ongoing refugee work in Kenya in three camps in Dadaab and one in Kakuma, and in the Teferi Ber camp in Ethiopia. Contributes to LWF Somali refugee program planning, reporting and capacity building. Produces a regular newsletter with highlights and information. Based in Nairobi, Kenya.
