Why Have an Endowment Fund?

Our goal is to continue the good work of the LWF over the past 60 years. We have cared for refugees, worked on clean water projects, opened Bible schools, ministered to people living with HIV and AIDS, taught reading and writing, deepened ecumenical relationships, cleared land mines, lobbied for human rights and organized interfaith conflict resolution initiatives.
We want to ensure that the witness and ministry of the LWF is sustained and expanded for another 60 years. The LWF is a lifeline to the future!

How Does the Fund Work?
- The Fund receives and administers gifts, legacies, donations and other contributions
- It strengthens the financial stability of the LWF
- It assures a strong future!

The Fund’s capital is kept in perpetuity with annual earnings going to designated LWF activities. By the end of 2008 the Fund had total funds amounting to CHF 9.7 million.
